In the same section, Spotify will suggest folders from which you can add the files (usually Downloads and Music library).
Now it’s time to insert the files from your computer. Find Local Files on the list of sections. To add local files to your Spotify library on your Mac, you need to enable them. On the other hand, macOS users have a couple of more steps to complete. Spotify doesn’t allow you to upload local songs on the web player. Your SD card is not causing problems, try removing it (Android only). Your device's battery is sufficiently charged. Your firewall isn’t blocking Spotify (desktop only). Your device has at least 250MB of available memory. Your device is supported for Spotify and up-to-date. If it doesn’t, it could be an issue specific to your device. Is it your device? See if the issue happens on a different device, or when using the web player. Songs can be grayed out if they're not available in your market. Check your network connection, or switch to a different network. Check your device is not in offline mode.

Make sure your internet connection is stable.
